My Skincare Routine

I have always invested time into my skincare routine because I think it's so important to take good care of your skin. I'm very lucky that I never struggled with serious acne, just the occasional blemish. I have fairly normal skin but living in Colorado it has the tendency to get dry so moisturizer is my best friend. After years of trying different products I have found my favorite lotions and potions that make up my daily skincare routine.

Morning Routine

Step 1 | cleanse. I start my day by washing my face with Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub. I have been using this stuff since I was in high school and I just can't give it up. I still struggle with the occasional blemish and this helps combat acne when it pops up.

Step 2| Tone. I use Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner. Apply the toner to a cotton swab and swipe all over a clean dry face.

Step 3 | Moisturize. Apply Kiehl's Eye Alert under eyes and on eye lids. This energizing cream combats puffiness and dark circles. I apply Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer all over my face and neck. It has SPF to protect your skin from the sun.

Step 4 | Lips. I wear Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm every single day. I apply it with my morning skincare routine and throughout the day as needed.

Night Routine

Step 1 | Remove makeup using Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. These things rock at getting off a full face of makeup.

Step 2 | Cleanse. After removing my makeup I cleanse using my Clarisonic and Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. This deep cleans my face so I know I'm going to bed with clean skin!

Step 3 | Tone. Just like the mornings, apply Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner all over face.

Step 4 | Moisturize. At night use Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. It helps moisture loss while drawing and absorbing moisture from the air.

My Skincare Rules

1. Always remove your makeup before you go to bed. No matter how many cocktails you've had, take the extra 5 minutes to remove your makeup, your skin will thank you!

2. Moisturize. Moisturize. Moisturize. If you live in a dry climate, this is especially important.

3. Drink lots of water. I have started drinking around 4+ water bottles a day, so roughly 2,000 ml of water and I can see a visible difference in my skin.

4. Wear SPF everyday. Nothing ages your skin like the sun. Wear moisturizer with SPF to keep your skin looking youthful and to protect you from the harmful side effects of the sun.
