Denim on Denim

Today I'm sharing with you an easy way to wear denim on denim. I love the denim on denim look and there are so many different ways you can style this trend. Hold on, before you start thinking of Britney and Justin at the 2001 American Music Awards, give this ensemble a chance. Song of Style went full on denim here and it looks incredibly chic.  For this look, I went for a safer denim on denim combination. I paired my favorite Gap jeans, which they discontinued and I'm still heart broken about, with a graphic tee and a denim vest. Here are a few tips on how to style a denim on denim look:

Mix different shades of denim | Wearing the same shades or the same wash of denim can look overly matchy matchy.

Break up the denim | Use different pieces, like this white tee, to break up your denim outfit.

Distress | A little distressing can be a good idea. A pair of ripped jeans gives a full denim look some extra edge.

Dress up the outfit | Wearing your denim ensemble with a pair of pumps adds a hint of sophistication to the look.

Accessorize | Don't shy away from accessories. Throw on some red lipstick, grab a silk scarf or add some delicate gold jewelry to top off  your outfit.

Tell me! Do you ever rock a full denim look?
