Casa Flor Designs

Social media can get a bad rap... but for me, it has been an incredible way to meet new people from all around the world. A few months ago, I got an email from a girl named Rachel who is a North Carolina gal living in Guatemala. She asked me if I would like to collaborate with her to promote the clothing line, Casa Flor, she founded with her bff, Averie. After learning their story and seeing their handmade clothing, I couldn't say no! Fast-forward to last week and I got to meet the two women behind Casa Flor while they were in  Boulder to shoot their fall lookbook. Immediately meeting this fun-loving duo you are captivated by their vivacious personalities and passion for their craft. It makes my heart so happy to see women living their passion. If it weren't for Instagram, I would have never crossed paths with these two ladies. Not only are these gals sincere and so much fun to work with, but they are also incredibly talented.

All of their designs are handmade in Guatemala with high quality 100% cotton threads. The  pillars of their business are also pretty cool:

  • Reduce Textile Waste

  • Quality over Quantity

  • Fair Wages

  • Honoring 'Everybody'

As you all know body inclusivity is near and dear to my heart and I absolutely love what Casa Flor has to say on the subject, "One thing that really ruffles our feathers in the fashion industry is the concept that there is only one type of beauty. Every body is different and unique and should be honored accordingly. Our offered sizes range from XS-XXL with different length options: Petite, Regular, Tall. Custom sizing is also available, so if you don't see your size- email us. We'd be honored to make you a garment that fits perfectly."

One last thank you to Instagram for bringing creative women together.
